The European Women and Sport

is a free-standing group which consists of representatives and contact
persons related to or interested in gender equality work of
non-governmental or governmental sports organisations and bodies in
their respective countries;• aims at promoting the national equality work in sports and at disseminating information with European sports organisations and bodies at non-governmental and governmental level;
• counts at present 41 member countries represented by 44 contact persons; analyses the need of action and develops recommendations for equality work as reflected by the biannually organised EWS Conferences.
