What is the award?
How can individuals be nominated?The nomination is supplied by a representative, Chief Executive or the chair of a national sports organisation or federation to the EWS. The individual's curriculum vitae in sport should be accompanied by a letter of nomination that sets out the history, achievements and successes of the individual to be nominated. What are the selection criteria?
How will the European Women and Sport Award winner be decided?The EWS Steering Group will review the nominations against the criteria and reach a decision on the winner.
Past European Women and Sport Award winners
The 2011 winner was Sallie Barker from the UK. Sallie was nominated by the Danish Sports Confederation and was presented with her Award at the EWS London 2011 conference.
The winner of the inaugural European Women and Sport Award was Gertrud Pfizer. Gerturd was presented with her Award at the Limassol Conference in 2009. |
